Scheduled to launch on March 14, 2024, the Heron Preston x H&M collaboration, known as H2, introduces its debut collection titled “H2.” Focused on everyday style and sustainable design, this collaboration strives to strike a balance between process innovation, community involvement, and product creation.
The initiative is driven by a central goal—to empower young creative talent through a circular innovation program, reflecting the shared commitment of H&M and Heron Preston to sustainable fashion practices. The inaugural H2 collection, designed by Heron Preston, prioritizes practicality, robustness, and cultural significance.
Under the overarching concept of “Unity,” the campaign features items such as long-sleeve racing-style jerseys crafted from 100% recycled polyester and boxy reversible bomber jackets made of 100% nylon. This design narrative extends across various pieces, including bodysuits, lace-up corsets, adaptable reversible sweatshirts, and straight-cut denim jeans made from recycled cotton.
Accompanying the collection is the H2 EXCHANGE program, a platform for circular fashion innovation. Launched alongside the collection’s presentation, the program calls for young designers in New York to collaborate with Heron Preston on upcycling clothes donations into fashionable items. The H2 EXCHANGE program aims to foster community involvement and sustainable fashion education, instilling a circular perspective in aspiring designers while supporting H&M’s ongoing circular initiatives.
