In the city that never sleeps, Chanel adds a touch of French sophistication with its inaugural U.S. watches and fine jewelry flagship on iconic Fifth Avenue. The opulent two-story boutique, nestled in the historic Crown Building, pays homage to Chanel’s Parisian roots at 18 Place Vendôme and its founder, Gabrielle Chanel. Designed by Peter Marino, the space exudes luxury with grooved black granite, gold-bonze screens, and a black-and-gold motif echoing throughout.
Chanel’s new flagship is not just a shopping destination; it’s an art-filled experience. From rock crystal “Dream Catcher” chandeliers by Parisian goldsmith Goosens to a mezzanine adorned with Tang Dynasty ceramic camels and Louis XV furniture, the space showcases a curated blend of art, antiques, and custom furniture. The mezzanine also hosts fine jewelry salons featuring Chanel’s iconic collections like Coco Crush and Camélia, alongside standout patrimony items, including the exclusive Eternal N°5 set and the dazzling 55.55 necklace.
The boutique doubles as an art gallery, featuring works by Louise Nevelson and Y.Z. Kami, creating a unique atmosphere for patrons to explore the curated selection of exquisite jewelry and timepieces. Chanel’s Eternal N°5 collection, a transformable diamond necklace and earrings, debuts exclusively at the New York store, while the Lion Solaire High Jewelry collection, inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s Leo star sign, makes its first appearance on Fifth Avenue.
