Avant-garde fashion enthusiasts rejoice! MM6, the women’s diffusion line of Maison Margiela, has undergone a significant transformation within Tokyo’s prestigious GINZA SIX shopping center.
Originally opened in 2017, the MM6 store has relocated to a larger, 82 sqm (883 sq.ft.) space on the third floor, strategically positioned alongside prominent boutiques like Off-White and AMBUSH. This prime location signifies MM6’s commitment to providing an enhanced and immersive shopping experience.
A Fusion of Design and Fashion:
Departing from its previous setting, the new MM6 store boasts a fresh and distinctive look, meticulously crafted by Maison Margiela’s in-house design team in Paris. The minimalist ambiance embraces a black and white color scheme, reflecting the brand’s signature ‘ready-when-worn’ fashion philosophy.
Innovative Design Elements:
The store’s design pushes boundaries with a unique use of a special black paint that envelops various surfaces. This includes flooring, displays, and even decorative floor-to-ceiling transparent tubes. These tubes serve a dual purpose – a striking visual backdrop and a functional element demarcating different sections within the store.
A Comprehensive Shopping Destination:
The expanded space allows MM6 to showcase its complete range of women’s apparel, accessories, bags, small leather goods, and shoes. This curated environment allows customers to explore the brand’s diverse offerings with ease.
A Commitment to Redefining Retail:
With the unveiling of this rejuvenated space, MM6 and Maison Margiela solidify their commitment to redefining the retail experience. The innovative design, curated aesthetics, and extensive collection create a truly immersive shopping destination for fashion enthusiasts in the heart of Tokyo’s premier shopping district.
