South Korean artist Jaedoo Lee collaborates with Bushwick Print Lab to unveil a vibrant series of limited-edition screen prints. The capsule comprises seven prints, each limited to an edition of 50, showcasing a mix of flat and textured shapes that are characteristic of Lee’s surreal animations. Blurring the lines between reality and imagination, Lee’s artwork transforms ordinary scenes into euphoric playgrounds, featuring DNA chains unraveling from a frog’s mouth and Korean script blocks suspended like satellites in orbit. Drawing inspiration from childhood influences like Studio Ghibli and Akira Toriyama’s Dragonball, Lee’s creative process involves journaling, doodling, and digital refinement. Notable pieces in the collection include “Tyson” and “Blue Flower,” inviting varied interpretations. Each signed and numbered print is produced on Coventry Rag Vellum 290gsm paper, adding a touch of exclusivity to this captivating release.
