Bulgari, celebrating its illustrious 140th anniversary, introduces a captivating trio of limited editions to its esteemed Octo Finissimo watch series. Distinguished by their intricate dials, these new editions showcase technical illustrations of the equipped movement, creating a mesmerizing trompe l’oeil-like skeletonized effect.
Drawing inspiration from the Renaissance era’s tradition of technical sketches, Bulgari elevates the schizzi concept into an art form, infusing each piece with Italian heritage and innovation. Crafted by Bulgari’s product creation executive director, Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, the dials boast natural, spontaneous strokes, reflecting his dynamic style.
Among the limited editions are two automatic models, known as the Octo Finissimo Automatique BVL 138 Sketch. The rose gold variant, limited to 70 pieces, and the steel versions, produced in 280 examples, house the in-house BVL 138 caliber with a 60-hour power reserve. Prices start at €17,800 EUR (approximately $19,479 USD) for the steel version and €51,000 EUR (approximately $55,812 USD) for the rose gold edition.
Additionally, Bulgari teases enthusiasts with the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT BVL 318 Sketch, offering a glimpse of its design through a technical drawing. This steel-encased model, powered by the ultra-slim BCl 318 Manufacture movement, features an annotated illustration of the movement and three subdials. Limited to just 140 individually numbered pieces, this exquisite timepiece is priced at €20,800 EUR (approximately $22,763 USD).
Bulgari’s latest creations epitomize the brand’s commitment to blending artistry, craftsmanship, and innovation, setting a new standard in horological excellence.
