Chanel’s latest campaign draws inspiration from the illustrious Villa Noailles, infusing its Spring/Summer 2024 collection with the timeless charm of this architectural gem. Located in the sun-soaked landscapes of the South of France, Villa Noailles has long been revered by art patrons and fashion icons alike, including Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld.
Under the creative direction of Virginie Viard, the collection pays homage to the villa’s distinctive geometry with asymmetrical silhouettes and checkered patterns reminiscent of its iconic gardens. Bursting with vibrant colors and rainbow-hued tweeds, each piece exudes Chanel’s signature blend of maximalism and lightness, perfect for the summer season.
Set against the backdrop of Villa Noailles, the campaign, captured by photographers Inez & Vinoodh, stars Riley Keough and Rianne Van Rompaey. Reflecting the villa’s architectural grandeur and its history as a haven for artistic women, the imagery celebrates the connection between Chanel and this iconic location.
From sunlit terraces to moonlit gardens, Villa Noailles becomes a central character in the campaign narrative, mirroring the collection’s emphasis on light, color, and geometry. As the campaign unfolds from dawn to dusk, it not only showcases Chanel’s exquisite designs but also honors the villa’s legacy as a sanctuary for creative expression.
