Hamilton, known for its Hollywood collaborations, takes a unique turn with ‘Dune: Part Two,’ crafting a futuristic wrist device for the film in collaboration with prop master Doug Harlocker. Unlike previous partnerships, Hamilton worked closely with Harlocker, responding to filmmaker Denis Villeneuve’s request for a distinctive device fitting the movie’s world. CEO Vivian Stauffer expresses pride in Hamilton’s role as the filmmaker’s watchmaker.
Designed without knowledge of its function, the resulting wrist device is both futuristic and durable, seamlessly integrating into Villeneuve’s vision for ‘Dune: Part Two.’ While the Desert Watch featured in the film is a one-off, Hamilton unveils two limited-edition Ventura watches inspired by the collaboration. Both feature a vibrant blue dial, paying homage to the Fremen people’s eyes in the movie.
Hamilton’s CEO remarks on the inspiring and challenging nature of this collaboration, emphasizing the brand’s ability to design beyond traditional watches. The limited-edition Ventura watches bring the futuristic essence of the film’s wrist device to life, celebrating the successful partnership with ‘Dune: Part Two.’
